Well we decided to Break the Rules and go and meet Jake at the Airport on Tuesday morning. He flew to California to "Start" his mission! He looked so excited to finally be getting out of the MTC. We got to meet his companions and they were great! They were a good match for Jake! I was really glad we decided to go. It was actually a trip we had to make! A snow storm from hell came through on Monday morning and just kept getting worse throughout the day....so by the time we got off work and were getting ready to go...they had closed the roads to Utah! I was very upset. So we waited to see if they were going to open and they never did! So around 10pm we decided to take the long way around the Sisters going through Kemmerer! And we made it to SLC about 1am! It was worth the long night and early morning..we had to be at the Airport at about 6am so we left the hotel at 5:40am! We only got about 2 hrs of sleep! Not fun!

Here is Jake!
This picture was pretty funny! I was trying to take a picture of Jake talking to the "cute" Sister Missionary...maybe for blackmail purposes...I'm not sure! But this lady walked right in front of the camera and looked at me...I was so mad at her! Who does that! So needless to say I didn't get the picture I set out for!

I was really suprised at how many missionaries were flying out! I didn't expect to see so MANY!!

After we said of Goodbyes to Jake we headed to MacDonald's for Breakfast (the sun wasn't even up yet!) After placing our order...15min later we received our food... we were the only people in the whole place....Don't get me started on How annoying that was!! Any way after that we went to the Draper Temple open house.

The temple was pretty and we all enjoyed it...especially the part when my mom tripped on the carpet and fell clear to the floor making a huge scene in one of the ordinance rooms! It was probably one of the funniest things to ever happen! Not to mention all of us couldn't stop laughing...all the while passing the "Reverence please" Signs! I'm sure there were some people who were quite annoyed! We did go into the sealing room with the mirrors and the whole time I just kept thinking about the story of Brad saying he could see an end to the mirrors! WE had a good time but by the time everything was over it was only Noon!
We were all exhausted and the drive home was the longest drive of our lives! Needless to say we got home around 3 and hit the bed! We slept the rest of the day only waking up for dinner and (of course) American Idol.
