Great Week!

Wow it seems like it has been an eternity since my last post. A lot has happened in our lives this year that has forever changed us and made us look to god for strength. We are stronger for it. But this post is about this great week! First I got to meet my sweet nephew Tristan! Oh what a blessing. He is perfect in every way. I love all my nieces and nephews so much, they are my world now!

I also got to see Tinley for just a few minutes this saturday! She is my heart right now!
They best part of this week is we finally got new carpet in our house! This is a HUGE deal for us! We have been living with old brown shag from the 70's for the past 3 years! it was time and we finally pulled the trigger! I LOVE my house now! Take a look at the before and after photos!

Cancun

Last week Miguel and I had the opportunity to go to Cancun Mexico on a business trip for Miguel. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to tag along! We had a good time, the weather was not the best, the wind blew like crazy the entire time and it was cloudy and raining a few of the days. But a good 80 degrees during the day, I can't complain! Here are a few pictures from our trip.
The last day we were swimming in the ocean and I was taken out by a pretty big wave, as i got up I was chocking the water out of my lungs and trying to gain my composure. I hear miguel screaming my name...apparently my bikini top had twisted and i was totally exposed to everyone! haha it was so funny to see the look on miguels face! He told me I was too inappropriate for the beach...lol I haven't been able to stop laughing about it since.

This was the view from our hotel room, I could have sat on the balacony all day and looked out at this amazing view...
I am glad to be home where the food tastes normal and I can drink the water! Needless to say we spent our ThanksGiving traveling home.

Puerto Rico

Our Trip to Puerto Rico was fabulous! We were able to spend alot of time with Miguels Family. My favorite part of visiting is always the beach! Oh how I love the Beach! But it was just our luck that we had a hurricane pass about 100 miles off shore! So we were lucky enough to get a lot of rain. That ment no beach for us. We did loose electricity for a couple of hours, it kept going on and off, it was rather annoying, so Miguels mom had some sleeping pills that we all took so we could sleep though the power outage! All and all our trip was more of a relaxing trip. We slept alot and took nice long naps during the day! We came back home nice and refreshed.

The first day we were there it was sunny (the only day). Miguels friend took us to this nice resort in the mountains that had a nice pool. We spent the whole day swimming. It was alot of fun.
We loved the way this wall looked and I loved the flowers....so we had to get a picture.

This picture is from the "power outage" It was really pitch dark, I just have an amazing flash on my camera
We did some shopping in Old San Juan. Which is one of my favorite things to do. The streets are old and the building are so neat. I love it. We went into this one store only to find this cute little pug! Well he is so ugly he's cute.
As we were walking around we found this great little resturant, I needed to use the bathroom (due to a not so fun bladder infection) so we stopped and they gave me a nice big glass of cranberry juice.
As we were walking around San Juan we kept seeing this guy, he would lean against a building and start to fall asleep, and just when we thought he would fall over he would wake up and move. We found him again on the way to our car...sleeping like this...he was a bit of a crack head...poor guy!

We also got a chance to go up to the "campo" which is what they call his grandparents house in the mountains. It is so amazing up there. It is also one of my favorite things to do. You can see the whole city of Cayey up there.

We picked grapefruits and mangos and wild berries off the trees and ate them. We also went avocado hunting and filled a bag up to take home. His grandparents are amazing and I just love them so much. I found myself getting emotional when I was saying goodbye to his grandma, she is such a sweet lady with the kindest heart. I only wish we lived closer to them.

I have officaly turned the big 26! I celebrated my B-Day in Puerto Rico! it was a great day! We did some more shopping in Old San Juan, where we found the "Home of the first Pina Colada" it was nothing to write home about but it was still good!
We also had a great lunch with Maria at this beautiful place in the mountains.

And no, I may look pregnant in this picture...but i am not!

Later that night Maria and her friend Raul surprised me with a cake and presents (we opened the presents that morning, cake came later!) They sang to me in english and spanish. I had no idea! Miguel knew and apparently had planned the whole thing, they all made my day so special.
We also took and day and spend it with Miguels dad. Miguel Sr. took us shopping at the hugest outlet mall ever! He bought miguel and I some shoes, It was a good day.
It was such a great vacation and much needed. I can offically say we are NOT glad to be home. The second we pulled back into the Valley we both said "wow this place really sucks"

"Home Crap Home"

Since being home I have started to do Rosetta Stone to learn spanish. It is coming along slowly and it gets discouraging at times. But I will speak it before we go back for another visit! It's hard being the only one that doesn't know what is going on the majority of the time!
We are already counting the hours to our next visit!!

Raging Waters

This Weekend Miguel and I decided last minute to head to a Water Park! We were going to go to 7 Peaks but decided we didn't want to fight a big crowd, so we decided on Raging Waters and had so much fun! We only went on one slide, then enjoyed the rest of the day in the wave pool and lazy river...don't even get me started on how annoying the lazy river was, with all the kids thinking it was so cool to splash everyone that was trying to be LAZY! But we survived.

I told Miguel to take pictures of everything...and he did!
Miguel managed to step on a Bee and get stung right in between his toes..Poor thing!
It was a great day

Summer Fun!

It seems like we have been going and going since summer started! I still have a few more training classes to complete in Utah for Wells Fargo so I will be back and forth again the next few months. But so far I am really enjoying my work. Miguel's work trip to Miami was good and he had a good time, While he was gone I traveled to Saint George to visit my parents and check out their new place...which is very nice! We headed down to Vegas for the day and met up with "Restoration Rick" from "Pawn Stars" (pawn stars is a show on the History channel that miguel and I really like). Rick ended up buying an All American Chopper, he has beenordering parts from us and will try to put it on the show, so we have been working with him. I was bummed that I only got a few pictures at his place before my camera died! We also went to Tuacan and saw Tarzan. The show was good but definitely more child oriented! Miguel and I got home about the same time and were kind of bummed to leave civilization and come back to Wyoming!
Front entrance of my parents house!

ECLIPSE

LOVED IT! Way better then I thought it was going to be! Can't wait to see it again!
After the show a few of us went back to Michele's house for a midnight swim! I had a blast!
(don't mind me...my eyes just look like they are bulging out of my head!)

4th of JULY

We spent the 4th with our friends the Chandlers, we had a BBQ at their place then had our own fireworks show! It was fun despite the freezing cold weather! Gotta love Wyoming...

Here is a random picture of me in a extremely large lawn chair....we can't figure out why someone would need a chair this large...

WE traveled to the lake this past weekend...we encountered a few speed bumps that day but managed to have a good day despite the few minor set backs...for example, not leaving till 10am when the plan was to be out of town by 830am, or the men docking the boat and not being able to find us on the beach for over an hour! Low and behold they were just waiting for us to randomly show up at the truck! After a few heated discussions about where the meeting place was supposed to be we were finally able to get to our day! The water was still really cold and of course the wind was blowing and making it a little chilly (I can never get away from the wind! It's a curse!)

Miguel and Darrell had matching hats..I'm bummed I didn't get a picture of them both together!
